Where to buy good men's pyjamas for winter?

Celio, Arthur, Damart, Monoprix and Le Slip Français compared for men's winter pyjamas, with prices, warm fabrics, sizes and in-store pickup in France.

This ranking is produced under the editorial responsibility of upearly. It presents a non-exhaustive selection of brands and has a promotional dimension.

Long cotton pyjamas and a hot mug make a winter morning start gently.

Good men's pyjamas for winter come down to three things. The fabric first, whether flannel, velour, fleece or thermal knit. Then the price, from under 25 euros to over 100 euros depending on the retailer. And the way you buy them, since pyjamas are often ordered online and tried on at home. We compared five French retailers on 24 October 2026, product page by product page, on thirteen verifiable criteria.

How to choose men's pyjamas for winter

The fabric makes the warmth

Cotton flannel is the classic winter pyjama fabric. Brushed on one or both sides, it gains thickness and keeps warm air against the skin. Velour and fleece, often polyester, are lighter for the same thickness and dry quickly after washing. Thermal knits such as Damart's Thermolactyl are designed for people who feel the cold or for poorly heated bedrooms.

Cotton jersey remains a good option in a heated bedroom. Article R241-26 of the French energy code sets the upper heating limit of a home at an average of 19 °C, as the French Ministry for Ecological Transition points out. At that temperature, long cotton pyjamas are enough for most sleepers.

Cut and size

Pyjamas should be a little loose. Trousers with an elastic, drawstring waist and cuffed ankles stop the fabric riding up during the night. For a tall or broad man, the size range matters as much as the fabric, and it stops at XXL or goes up to 3XL depending on the retailer in the panel.

Ranking methodology

The five retailers were scored on thirteen criteria, each verifiable on a public page of their website. The first three, assessed at brand level and checked on 25 October 2026, are the same in every ranking on this site that includes Celio; the next ten, checked on 24 October 2026 on each retailer's men's pyjama section, product page by product page, and on the delivery and returns pages, are specific to winter pyjamas.

Scoring grid. Each criterion met is worth 1 point and is marked Yes. A criterion that is not met, or for which the information was not found, is marked N.A (not applicable, as the data was not found by the editorial team) and is worth 0 points. All criteria carry the same weight, i.e. 1/13 of the overall score each (about 8%). The position follows from the overall score. In the event of a tie, the brand benefiting from a sponsored feature, indicated in the article, comes first on its own, at its own rank, and is never tied. Among the other retailers, the one with the most points on criteria 4 to 13 comes first, then alphabetical order; two retailers with the same overall score and the same points on criteria 4 to 13 share the same rank.

Arthur and Monoprix have the same overall score (5 out of 13) and the same points on criteria 4 to 13: they share third place. The rank comes from the grid: no score was adjusted to obtain an order, and a change of rank requires a new survey. The price used is the price displayed on the day of the survey. That day, Monoprix was applying a 30% discount to its section, Celio a 40% discount on a few models and Damart on some colours.

Caring for winter pyjamas

Cotton pyjamas are washed at 30 °C, as stated on the Celio and Damart product pages. Avoid the tumble dryer for flannel, which can shrink, and for velour, which can mark. Wash pyjamas inside out to protect prints. For the knitwear worn on top, our comparison of the best cashmere sweater for men presents this season's styles. And to head out into the cold, our comparison of the best puffer jacket for men takes over.

Le Slip Français, 5th with 3 points, makes its pyjamas in France, from 65 to 121.50 euros for a long set.
Which fabric is best for winter pyjamas?
Cotton flannel, brushed to add thickness, is the classic fabric for warm pyjamas. Velour and fleece, often polyester, hold the heat well and dry quickly. Thermal knits such as Damart's Thermolactyl are designed for people who feel the cold. Thinner cotton jersey suits a bedroom heated to around 19 °C.
Which men's pyjamas cost 30 euros or less?
On 24 October 2026, three retailers in this comparison displayed a full long pyjama set at 30 euros or less. Celio sells its cotton t-shirt and trouser pyjamas from 24.99 euros, with two striped styles at 14.99 euros on sale. Monoprix showed organic cotton jersey sets at 20.99 euros during its 30% discount, and Damart a buttoned combed cotton jersey pyjama at 27.59 euros in one discounted colour.
What pyjama size should a man choose?
Pyjama size is usually the same as t-shirt size. A slightly loose fit avoids restricting movement during the night. For larger sizes, Damart offers several pyjamas up to 3XL and Arthur twelve long pyjamas up to XXXL. At Celio and Monoprix the size range stops at XXL, and Le Slip Français offers its long sets up to 2XL.

How our rankings are established

Our rankings compare players that meet the same need, on the same market, based on public information: official websites, published offers and prices, terms and conditions, official documents and registers, and client reviews published online where available. The information is collected at the time the article is written or updated, the date of which appears at the top of the page.

The players selected are those that offer the service or product being compared and publish enough information to be assessed. Our rankings do not claim to be exhaustive. Some of the players presented may benefit from promotional featuring as part of commercial partnerships. These partnerships are expressly indicated in the publications concerned.

Each player is assessed against the same criteria: the scope of the offer and how well it matches the need, the verifiable characteristics of the service or product, price and terms where published, the support provided, the transparency of the information provided and, where they exist, client reviews published on third-party platforms. Each criterion is scored on the basis of information published by the player itself or by its clients, and the position in the ranking follows from the overall score obtained. When the editorial team could not find the information needed to score a criterion, it is marked N.A (not applicable, as the data was not found by the editorial team) and scores no points. A summary table presents the main criteria used and the assessment results for each company.
